Chaffee County Search and Rescue South

2025 New Member Information
SAR South will be accepting new member applications
starting October 15 through end of day November 15, 2024.
There are many opportunities to get involved in search and rescue, with varying physical demands required for each role. Incident command, fundraising, and drone team operations, for instance, rely mostly on technical, communication, and leadership skills. Field team operations, however, are often physically taxing. Applicants who wish to deploy to the field should be physically fit to be able to hike multiple miles uphill with a full pack over a period of many hours, and should be comfortable spending the night in the field if needed.
If you are unable to make the training dates listed, please consider applying another year when your schedule allows attendance on the scheduled training dates.

Part 1 - Feb 8, 8:30 - 2:00
Part 2 - Mar 1, 8:30 - 2:00
